The Dwarf Jade Bonsai Is Unique and Easy To Grow

If you’re looking for a great little bonsai to give to a beginner or to serve as your starter bonsai, then the Dwarf Jade indoor bonsai tree is exactly what you need. This little bonsai may never get above about 15 inches tall (which is actually a good size for a bonsai, despite the “dwarf” in the name), and it can easily be grown in a very traditional bonsai look. Starting with a Small Greenhouse Kit

Two years ago I started my greenhouse experience with a small greenhouse kit that included the venting and louvers and most everything I needed to get going. It was a great way to get some experience under my belt before I move up into a larger kit, which I plan on doing next spring. I will still be using my the smaller model and am just now starting to think about how I am going to marry the two together for the maximum production. Continue reading »

Attractive Four Star Humidor Area Rugs

In Central Asia the pile rugs are a very important part of their culture. Baluch is mentioned as nomads in the area if Kirman. This area was captured by the Arabs in 644. The traditional patterns and colors are combined in a way that only the Baluch’s will reflect themselves. Most rugs are coarsely knotted with a long pile and vibrant with color. They were favored among the rich Arabs of the Persian Gulf. The demand for these caused a assembly line affect in the cottages of Kirman. You can compare the machine woven four star humidor rug to the hand-knotted rugs and the one that will stand out is price. Both being attractive rugs it will depend on your budget and what your looking to do with your room decor that matters most for you Continue reading »

Who Needs a Small Greenhouse?

I used to think that having a small greenhouse was a waste of money and effort. However, over the last two years I have drastically changed my mind. In fact, I do not ever want to go back to not having my small greenhouse. Before, you would find my home filled with trays of starter plants on a grow light hinging from the table in my living room. As the plants grew, I would transfer them into larger containers only to place them outside on nice warm days and then inside wherever I could find the space. Needless to say, my entire household couldn’t wait until it got warm enough for me to plant the garden each year. Continue reading »

I Love Spring and Outdoor and Garden Décor!

I am so excited that spring is right around the corner!  It’s the time of year that I get to add to my wonderful collection of outdoor décor that I have gathered over the last 30 years of traveling and shopping.  There is nothing like walking down your sidewalk and having a small statue or planter bring back fond memories of a village in a faraway land or a shopping trip with your daughter.  These treasures may not have cost much but the value they bring to my life cannot be measured in dollars and cents.
