Two years ago I started my greenhouse experience with a small greenhouse kit that included the venting and louvers and most everything I needed to get going. It was a great way to get some experience under my belt before I move up into a larger kit, which I plan on doing next spring. I will still be using my the smaller model and am just now starting to think about how I am going to marry the two together for the maximum production.
Sometimes these kits are also known as portable greenhouse kits because they can be easily moved. This comes in handy if you want to place them over a part of your in-ground garden to extend the growing season with those plants. I place mine over a raised bed of tomato plants and have harvested tomatoes right up until Christmas! It’s wonderful to be able to serve freshly grown tomatoes with salads at the Christmas meal and fresh is always better than the alternatives. With the addition of another grow house next year, I plan on serving as much fresh vegetables as possible throughout the holiday season
